Aprovechando que el fin de semana estuvimos por los alrededores de esta preciosa ciudad, la tarde del viernes decidimos visitarla. A pesar del calor y de necesitar parar para tomar un batido fresquito, disfrutamos de los maravillosos lugares que se pueden encontrar en Salamanca. Para empezar, es recomendable dar un paseo por las frescas orillas del río Tormes y admirar sus puentes romanos. También encontramos varias reseñas en forma de escultura a uno de los personajes más conocidos de la literatura española, el lazarillo de Tormes. Además, en la zona antigua de la ciudad encontramos numerosos monumentos: dos catedrales, la Nueva y la Vieja; la Plaza Mayor; la Casa de las Conchas, ahora reconvertida en biblioteca... Por último, no podemos irnos de Salamanca sin encontrar la rana de piedra que se encuentra en una de las fachadas de la Universidad, ya que según la leyenda hay que encontrarla para aprobar todo.

As I have spent the weekend near this wonderful city, we decided to visit it on Friday afternoon. In spite of the hot weather (we needed to stop and have a fresh milkshake), we had a great time in the beautiful places that can be found in Salamanca. First, it is recommended to go for a refreshing walk near the river Tormes so you can admire the Roman bridges. We can also find some sculptures of one of the best known character of the Spanish literature, the Tormes guide. In addition, in the old part of the city, we can find a lot of monuments such as two cathedrals (the new one and the old one), the large square or the house with shells (now it is a library). Finally, we can leave Salmanaca without finding the stone frog that is on one of the fronts of the University, because as the legend tells it is necessary to find it if you want to pass all your exams.
